METS is designed using Modeling and Simulation-based Systems Engineering (M&SBSE) approach. METS hardware uses state-of-the-art multiprocessor design leveraging NVIDIA K1/X1 processors and includes radio interfaces for tactical/reach-back communication and data distribution, solid-state disk storage for speed and ruggedness, and a power manager allowing recharging from multiple tactical edge power sources. METS is designed to support an extensive framework to form fully operational METS cluster in a mesh networking configuration, at the tactical edge.
MVSS is patch for real-time non-invasive sensing and assessment of a soldier’s physiological condition in operationally relevant environments. Following the Sense-Assess-Augment paradigm, the MVSS provides the hardware necessary to Sense and the software necessary to Assess, which will lead to an innovative means of data-driven human performance augmentation. The MVSS will enable its future integration with tactical communications equipment to provide long-rage physiological data dissemination, GPS location data, and data storage/logging for physiological history. The inherent versatility and modularity of POC’s MVSS design will allow for its use in multiple operational environments, from high risk training for performance optimization or health and safety, to operational use, e.g., by Pararescuemen (PJs) as a patient medical monitoring device which can be further integrated with a Transport Telemedicine capability.

SIWAP is a highly-integrated command and control (C2) device capable of interfacing with many sensors, including the Kestrel Weather Meter and POC’s Micro Weather Sensor (MWS) to receive and distribute local weather data via Iridium satellite. The SIWAP consists of two variants: 1) a complete system with integrated Android device for operation of the SIWAP C2 app as well as other apps or 2) a compact comms system that wirelessly tethers to an existing Android-enabled system such as the Android Tactical Assault Kit (ATAK) to run the SIWAP C2 app. The SIWAP C2 app allows the warfighter to view live data from connected or remote sensors, input manual observations, and push or pull data to central data systems such as the Air Force Weather Web Services (AFW-WEBS) or the Distributed Common Ground System- Army (DCGS-A). Leveraging state-of-the-art electronics, novel battery and power management, and secure communications and interoperability, the SIWAP enables Iridium capability for COTS weather sensors and makes more data readily available to Department of Defense forecasters for improved situational awareness.

POC’s WiSIC aims to be the starting point for an integrated platform that enables next-generation physiological monitoring. This device can be integrated into a Transportation Telemedicine system. Its sensors are developed for a medical triage scenario, but can also be used for en route patient care for vitals monitoring. The device enables the persistent monitoring of the medical status of a large group of triage patients, through the use of wireless interface. Thresholds can be set on a handheld device to alert the medic of a deteriorating medical condition. The ultra-low power electrophoretic display enables at-a-glance evaluation of the patient, while the flexible photovoltaic extends the operational lifetime of the device. The flexible packaging allows the device to conform to the shape of the patient and demonstrate its flexible capabilities.
